Welcome Bikers!

The big news this week is Bike Week 2010. What does that mean to Flagler Beach? Lots of motorcycles, obviously. It also means a carnival atmosphere all along A1A as spring erupts along with the din that is Bike Week. At the Golden Lion it means a whole week of great live music!

Not to be overshadowed by Bike Week is the nearly world famous Golden Lion Full Moon Party!! Come howl at the moon in Florida luau style Saturday night with live reggae from Zebbhi Niyah. Show up in a Hawaiian style shirt or a grass skirt and get a free cup of rum punch!

As a bonus, Mars will be just to the left of the moon tonight. Look for the reddish, star-like object. Rob Peck

Born in Gainesville, Florida, Rob's musical interest was piqued early on by legendary greats such as the Allman Brothers. Moving to Mobile, Alabama as a teenager, he extended his musical roots into the Delta blues clubs, where his mastery of the harp captured musical attention in the country arena, leading him into touring with George Jones, also performing with Bo Diddley, Sister Hazel and many more. Rob has appeared on over 40 cds, featuring his harmonica, acoustic, electric, and steel slide guitars, not to mention his writing and vocals.

Customer Christmas Party is Friday night!

The Golden Lion Customer Christmas Party is scheduled for Friday, December 18th. Join us for holiday drink specials, complimentary fresh baked cookies, and live music from the outstanding Will Pearsall!

A Jacksonville, FL native, Will has been working for the past twelve years in a two piece setting with his friend Steve Shanholtzer in a group (formerly known as) the Jalapeno Brothers. From local concerts to international music festivals, Steve and Will regularly performed over 320 dates a year. Also, in the last few years, Will has been working in a three piece group known as Jethro's Giant Brain, alongside drummer Derek Hess and Barry Dunaway. A departure from these past approaches to music, Will's latest style incorporates a broad range of techniques involving percussive slaps on the body and neck with both hands playing melody and laying down a groove. Bottleneck slide, harmonics, and multiple parts all combine with captivating energy to create dynamic instrumentals and to back up his earthy vocals and wry, contemplative lyrics.

It's a busy weekend in Flagler Beach! Friday Night will see the lighting of the city Christmas Tree at Veteran's Park. On Saturday, Santa will parachute onto the beach as part of the Flagler Beach Holiday Parade. Where else can you see that?!

The Golden Lion will have live music both nights with Joe Atti on Friday and Joe Caruso on Saturday.

Also on Saturday we will be hosting our Second Annual Repeal Day celebration!

Celebrate Repeal Day December 5!
On December 5, 1933 Prohibition in the United States ended. Join the Golden Lion as we celebrate the passing of the 21st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, giving citizens the right to once again consume beer, liquor, & wine.

We will be offering $3 gin Martinis & $3 Manhattans, as well as featuring classic cocktails such as the Sidecar, Ward Eight, Presbyterian, and Chicago Cocktail. Enjoy one of these classics or your favorite beverage.

To get into the spirit of the day, we are encouraging customers and staff to dress in the fashion of the time. Break out your best gangster or moll gear and strut your stuff! A $50 Cash Prize will be awarded to the best dressed of the night, with a $25 Gift Certificate going to the runner-up.
